Hydrazine analyzer HYDRLYT LP 100
The analyzer is used in power plants to determine the residue hydrazine concentration in boiler feed-water with system pressure of higher than 62 bar and alkali operation. The task of the hydrazine in the water loop is to eliminate the existing oxygen content and simultaneously arise the pH-value. The deoxygenated process can describe according following equation:
N2H4 + O2 => N2 + 2 H2O
Because hydrazine is carcinogen the use should be cautious. Thus the hydrazine concentration in the water circuit have to be measured.
The electrochemical electrode reaction may be represented qualitatively as:
N2H5OH + 4 OH- => N2 + 5 H2O + 4 e-
